National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians
The mission of National Association of Emergency Medical
Technicians, Inc. is to assure a professional representative
organization to receive and represent the views and opinions of
pre-hospital care personnel and to thus influence the future
advancement of EMS as an allied health profession. NAEMT will serve
it's professional membership through educational programs, liaison
activities, development of national standards and reciprocity and
the development of programs to benefit pre-hospital care personnel.

National EMS Information System
A database useful in developing nationwide EMS training curricula,
evaluating patient and EMS system outcomes, facilitating research
efforts, determining national fee schedules and reimbursement rates,
addressing resources for disaster and domestic preparedness, and
providing valuable information on other issues or areas of need
related to EMS care.

National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians
As the vocation of the EMT evolves, their professional needs became
evident. Early recognition of the importance of a certification
agency for the EMT resulted in the birth of the National Registry of
Emergency Medical Technicians.

Virginia Association of Volunteer Rescue Squads
The Virginia Association of Volunteer Rescue Squads, Inc. is an
organization for those volunteer rescue squads and other
organizations interested in the finest pre-hospital emergency care
in Virginia. The organization is composed of more than 335 volunteer
rescue squads and over 15,600 individual members in Virginia, as
well as neighboring parts of West Virginia and Tennessee.

Virginia Office of EMS
The Virginia Office of EMS, a component of the Virginia Department
of Health, manages the delivery of EMS services by agencies across
the Commonwealth.
