Working along side career personnel of the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department, our volunteers are certified as firefighters, emergency medical technicians, and line officers. Our members provide supplemental staffing on frontline county units as well as staff additional units during periods of training or high incident activity.

November 5, 2013, Dogfish Head Alehouse Hosts F.O.V.F.R. Fundraiser and Silent Auction
On Tuesday, November 5th, the Dogfish Head Alehouse located in the Greenbriar Town Center Shopping Center will host a fundraiser to benefit the Fair Oaks Volunteer Fire & Rescue Co. The restaurant will generously donate a portion of the entire day's proceeds to the F.O.V.F.R. We will have apparatus on display at the restaurant throughout the day and will also be running a silent auction. For more information, visit our News page.
Fire Department Open House, Saturday, October 12th!
On Saturday, October 12, 2013, the Fair Oaks Volunteer Fire & Rescue Co. hosted its annual open house to celebrate National Fire Prevention Week and to share information on fire prevention and safety. This year's theme was "Prevent Kitchen Fires." Remember, more fires start in the kitchen than in any other part of the home. Be safe!

September 2013 - Fair Oaks Kicks-off Residential Fund Drive
Fair Oaks Volunteer Fire and Rescue kicked off its latest residential fund drive in September, sending fundraising letters to households and businesses in our community. The residential letter is one of our primary sources of income, and provides for easy donation by return envelope. You can also donate online.
